General Discussion / Re: Keith Hackett.........AGAIN !!!!!

Personally, I find KH irrelevant and comments relating to refereeing standards are not so thinly veiled sour grapes. Trying to make himself relevant. Rieley simply left and went off into the sunset.

Remember there are far more teams at this tournament so there will need to be more referees.

Non Footy Appointments / Re: Rugby Championship 2025

Piardi getting a Bledisloe match!? Oh my, buckle in and watch all 80 mins.

Well for 78 mins Piardi looked like he belonged on the game and was having a great game… then it went pear shaped badly. Last call of the game and he, imho, got it terribly wrong. Clear penalty to Australia and a YC.

I now look at Rugby and appreciate their openness and honesty, the communication as Piardi spoke to the TMO was bizarre but genuine.

WOW just WOW! The appointment of Piardi is not one I saw coming!!!

To be slightly pedantic Alireza Faghani now represents Australia.

General Discussion / Re: David Coote

Without trivialising David’s experiences but the penny has dropped. There was always something missing from the story.
Hopefully David can move forward and create a life for himself. I feel deeply for him. I guess football has a long way to go..
would it be appropriate for during a round of the Premier League for referees and assistants to wear rainbow laces?
In Aust the League referee Matt Chechin came out with a year or two to go in his career. The newspapers kept the story under wraps until his son finished high school.

Stadium announcements have worked pretty well in Australia. As long as the referee gives the information in a concise manner and does not want to be the star of the show

Would like to know too Grimsby.
So far all NRL, Aussie refs in the Pacific Championships for teh men’s and women’s.

I believe the Scottish refs only have Black , Yellow and Orange shirts to wear. With a team in Black and Yellow stripes the orange was the only choice? Not a good option agreed.
It is my criticism of the new Addison range, they are all pale .pastel coloured that kind of blend into each other. THis is where bolder colours work better.

Ironic as the FA took our previous Head of Refereeing.

...and still not a Scottish female referee appointed. Not good at all.

Scottish newspaper is saying Tello and crew are heading home.  Make of that what you will.

Not a Scottish referee appointed. Willie Collum has a big job.

No real surprises. 19 referees and their assistants inc an Argentina Tello.
No Frapport though.
