Probably about time we had a thread over here.
Don't think there was too much to note from the recent League Cup games.
Telegraph reporting that VAR will be tested across all Saturday 3pm games in the Premier League on September 15th to ascertain their ability to cope on a busy Saturday afternoon with multiple matches but obviously VAR won't affect the actual decisions in this case and they won't be communicating with the on-field officials.
Could be interesting to see who is left off the list appointments for that Saturday as presumably they will want current SG referees plus possibly Swarbrick/Jones to be used.
I would have thought that they won't be enough officials to fulfill the fixtures across the board if SG1/2 for example are used as board duties in the top flight to cover VAR when it's fully operational. NL officials would then be needed to supplement the championship.
