The ridiculous sending off of the West Ham defender in the Chelsea game was entirely his call as the on field referee which was later rescinded. He needs to up his game if he does get further exposure in Europe.

Prior to this season I had rated him but he has had few poor high profile games this season and never seems to want to change his mind on VAR reviews.

I go back to the previous comment I've made.

In this first instance, the referee allowed play to continue.

Was then shown clips where it can be argued a red card should be issued.

The expected decision after the referee has been sent to the screen, in this example, is a red card.

Do I think a referee should be called over to the screen for that challenge? No. 

Do I understand why a red card was issued with the clips shown on the day (in slow mo) - yes. 

Reference the changing of mind, what are you expecting to see?
