I wonder whether Andy Woolmer is bowing out at QPR? Or will he get a L1 / 2 playoff semi-final as a parting gift?

Not sure if I’m reading too much into this but he has Northamptonshire colleague as fourth official at QPR.

Interesting to see Dean Whitestone as 4th in London on Monday. I imagine he will be in the capital all weekend and no doubt with some very important work on Saturday.

He’s 58 so surely this has to be his swan song

Lewis smith refereed Argyles promotion clincher vs burton last weekend, he was very good better than most , calm assured , accurate and had good player management in a high stress environment. If I didn’t know otherwise I would have easily said he’d been refereeing in league one for years .

A quick check on Soccerbase (so may not be 100% accurate) show Lewis Smith has had 5 League 1 games and 7 League 2 games this season so a Championship game so soon is some achievement.

I saw him do Walsall v Bradford in early March and he was exactly as charlieboy said in that Plymouth game...except for the high stress environment as it was a dull, mainly KMI-free, 0-0 between two poor teams - Walsall seemingly permanently poor, Bradford poor on that particular night before any Bradford fans come at me!).

Saying that, even those games have to be handle well and efficiently yet there are plenty of L1/L2 referees I've seen over the years who have poorly managed those type of games.

No surprise Millwall v Blackburn has attracted a FIFA representative…

Robinson’s game could have been a relegation shootout but is now a dead rubber.

Madley and Busby also involved in the play off scrap.

Huge game for Josh Smith. However that could be a dead rubber if Huddersfield get something from Sheff U on Thursday.

Sadly for Reading, it is now confirmed as a dead rubber.

Woolmer ?

It was tweeted by Northants Referees or FA, can’t remember which.
