Happy with Donohue and Kirk!

Parsons getting another Championship appointment before making his debut! Must be right at the top of the list!

If Ipswich want to get promoted, our 100% defeat rate with Donohue in charge will have to change. No complaints with him in the middle at all though. I’ll be in the away end on Saturday and will be my second live viewing of Donohue (hopefully much better than the first).

And as I predicted, Tom Kirk for our massive game down on the south coast with it potentially a winner takes all clash.

Tom Parsons in line for promotion? He has another championship game.

Nield, Herczeg and Madley with games that have something on the line. (And Hallam)

Kirk with the huge game at St Mary’s, and a decent game for Allison at Coventry.

Kitchen gets essentially a dead rubber at Sheffield Utd, and Rob Jones back in the EFL.

We had a similar “bogey” phenomenon when we kept getting Stroud at Fulham in the EFL, in that our win late was very low when he was on the field.

One of those oddities in life!

Whoops - that was me thinking he was making his debut this midweek! Apologies and thanks for the correction!

Kitchen on a “dead rubber” sums up his fall from grace as Kirk and Hallam stride on with impressive performances, his KMI errors this season have ultimately cost him but he will learn from his mistakes…albeit there have been many this season.

Be interesting to see where they go with the last rounds of fixtures coming up.

They’ll be more dead rubbers in there to give to a few NL officials as SG2 is needed higher up the food chain with all the injuries in the top tier.

A large majority of games in the championship are going to be dead rubbers if we’re being honest.

Relegation places are virtually all but confirmed.

Playoffs almost confirmed but will go to the last day. Similar with the promotion race - may not go to the last day if Ipswich win their next two (as I don’t see Millwall making up a 17 goal swing on GD).

I have a feeling SG1 will be at Wrexham vs Boro. Maybe a Pawson or Attwell.

But then there are loads of dead rubbers.

Blackburn vs Leicester
Bristol City vs Stoke
Portsmouth vs Birmingham
Sheffield Wednesday vs West Brom
Watford vs Coventry

National List could well be in use for some of them.

I expect to see Finnie, Reeves and Speedie on a host of them games. Definite candidates for SG2 as we already need 2 officials to replace Simpson and Linington.

Not forgetting those heading upwards too! We will need some to replace Hallam and Kirk upon their impending departure from SG2 into SG1.

There may well be a couple of others in SG2 needing to redirect their careers.

A minimum of six dead rubbers already to end the season for the last championship games…
