Think it's a poor decision to give Leigh Doughty the Barnsley v Stoke game on Boxing Day. He took charge of the reverse fixture, which he failed to control and was a contributing factor in the touchline handbags towards the end of the game.

I understand there will be an argument about the Barnsley coaching staff being different, but still. There are referees on the SG2 list that are yet to take charge of Stoke this season that might have been better suited, just in case it does get a touch heated.
Mr Doughty had a poor game (in my opinion) at the weekend between Peterborough and Millwall with Peterborough unhappy about an early challenge which they felt merited a red card (I was unsighted, sorry) and what they saw as inconsistency in what constituted a yellow card.  He also fell for some dramatic play-acting from some Peterborough players exaggerating Millwall's strong-arm tactics and displayed a general lack of control.  But he has been appointed to referee Peterborough again just three weeks later at Bournemouth.

Expect games to go this time of year but usually to the weather and not to a virus!

No Ward for us on Boxing Day… game off.

Also games at Peterborough and Preston have also bitten the dust.

I cannot see how games on the 29th won’t be decimated either.

The FA might have a few problems if this carries on into the Third round weekend.

WBA v Preston off Thursday…

Frees up Andy Davies to replace Woolmer at Bristol as that game is refereeless right now!

Davies or Woolmer… an interesting conundrum.

Safer just to drag someone out of the crowd to referee it

Perhaps Mike Riley needs to look on the general discussion board and choose one of the many perfect expert refs from on there...

Watched the Boro v Forest game on Sky - commentator kept referring to referee as MrWebb; looked very much like Josh Smith to me.
