Interesting appointing , Matthew Donohue will have been appointed twice already to Plymouth games having done game 1 and now game 7 he was fine but seems a quick turnaround. Happy with Gavin ward for our away day at Preston .
I don't think that's unreasonable personally - it's 6 league games and more than a month in between matches. I think Donahue's refereed 9 Championship teams already this season (and presumably it's similar for other SG2 referees) so I guess after 6 weeks or so it's likely that a referee somewhere will need to referee the same team again.

Yes but 2 teams play in each match - so if for instance the 9 teams that Donohue had refereed were all playing a team Donohue hadn't refereed then there'd only be 3 fixtures that round that he could referee if you were insistent he couldn't take charge of the same team again. Hendo mentioned Barrott and I think he's refereed 8 Championship teams so far this season.
Once you factor in any teams that a particular referee can't officiate due to supporting them etc, appointments for upcoming games and the teams that other referees have already officiated then I'd think the options would narrow relatively quickly.
