Congratulations to Craig Hicks - not a name I would’ve expected to get a championship debut necessarily but hope it goes well for him! Also, is that Josh Smith I see returning after a lengthy spell out of action?
I suppose Craig Hicks is a bit of a surprise because he doesn't appear near the top of many RTR contributors' list of outstanding L1 and L2 performers. That's possibly because he just gets on with his refereeing in a quiet and rather under-stated way. The person who I would like to get a go at a Championship match is Neil Hair who has been outstandingly good on the three occasions I have seen him.
