What a performance!
« on: Tue 12 Jan 2021 20:43 »
Limited general knowledge - and copious use of Google - might enable those few who wish to do so, to identify 31 operas/operettas, one for each day of the month. Sadly there is only one mention of football and none of referees. Supply the definite articles as appropriate.

 1.  Andalusian coiffeur.
 2.  Larcenous bird.
 3.  Lepidopterous female.
 4.  Number 3's ruler.
 5.  WCWC.
 6.  Science base OM.
 7.  Fishy Prince Consort.
 8.  A "monumental" virtue.
 9.  Divers for oysters.
10.  "It's Mr Mackay's go now, Fletch."
11.  A warning shout - even in women's football.
12.  Sly petite fox.
13.  Lavatorial hurrah D Debussy's Sea tie-up.
14.  Defect in an expensive stocking.
15.  Mountain top: blast!
16.  Reddish blood.
17.  River treasure.
18.  Jack (or was it Kiki?) flogged a rodent.
19.  Neither pa, ... ...
20.  Bill, do spill the beans!
21.  I'd appear at home in Alcoholics Anonymous.
22.  Ee. Matey Harry's son.

The Young Lady of My Acquaintance, not known for any interest in opera, polished off 30 of the 31, so perhaps it was a bit too easy. If anyone is still uncertain of an answer, however, here they are:
