That's the one I had in mind, AT, though it wasn't his final game as a FIFA referee. It was in October 1977, ai Anfield if memory serves me right, and Joe Jordan's was the hand that made contact with the ball. It was reported at the time that despite the error, Wales gave M. Wurtz top marks, as his overall work had been excellent. Such magnanimity would be rare today.
