Sorry for the rating JT. I don't know how I managed that - I wasn't even on my phone.

13    Did he emulate the Titanic? - which hit (abbreviated)
Sounds as though Mark hit the same problem as the Titanic

19    Frankenstein attacked the Beatles and got this  - Beatles compilation (first name & family name)
Has Paul compiled a Beatles compilation?

20    He does not like hot days - as he would end up like this
Roy hates hot days because he......

35    Quasimodo's official - where he was to be found among
John and Stephen could join Quasimodo in the tower

Thanks for the further clarifications.

13 I guess must be Mark Clattenburg.
20. Roy Boyles
35 I don't know the campanological significanc of "official", but the hint suggests simply Bell - including James.

Alas, the Beatles are after my time! By then I was into The Watersons.

Frankenstein was Victor; Young Frankenstein Frederick - neither of which takes us to Paul. Could John therefore be suggesting that Frankenstein could create a monstrous hybrid of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, which would give us Paul Harrison? A compilation cunningly not in the sense of a record.

Once again, thank you for the entertainment, not without its share of frustration. Is I-Z in the pipeline?

Well done JCFC. I knew Frankenstein was a Victor which immediately took me to Vic Callow, and a Google search revealed a Beatles album Love Songs which included a 'callow rendering' of one of their previous numbers. Clearly not, although I don't now understand the relevance of Frankenstein in this clue. I'll give some thought to a Mk 3 Quiz although I think we've probably now exhausted ourselves with these two!

Did not Dr. Frankenstein create a creature from bits of others?

And Ringo Lennon was a useless referee.
