A Crusty Reaction
« on: Fri 26 Apr 2019 10:32 »
I have just received the election leaflet from the candidate for the Yorkshire Party. He declares that he was "born and bread" in Brighouse. Does this suggest that the idea is half-baked or was it merely a bloomer? Or is he maybe even an admirer of Quo Cob?

Hard to say, no doubt he lives in a cottage or a farmhouse somewhere and is a somewhat crusty individual perhaps sporting plaits who enjoys a soda and may keep a pet tiger.

It's telling how bored someone gets when they excurse into an area where they do not normally perambulate and find themselves mentioned in a post made nearly 12 months previously.  :o
Coincidentally (tenuous I know), my ancestors originated in South Yorkshire (in the vicinity of Rotherham), relocated to Northampton, where at the tender age of sixteen I upped sticks and decided to follow the flag around all corners of the world, before finally landing and settling in rural Hampshire some 43 years later, still continuing in the same occupation.
By the way, that occupation nor my interests include bread, unless the consumption of is included.   ;D 8)
