Excellent game for Madley to pick up the start of something new from the pgmol maybe as we’ve now seen hooper and Madley with top 6 games

Not long after Hooper’s first big 6, Madley gets his first - pleased for him and hope it goes well.

Not delighted with having Coote again so soon after he did our match against United.  Good to see Harrington and Marriner back after brief spells out.

Big games for Andy Madley, although I don't think this is deserved.

Is there anyone other than Darren England who can do VAR on big Liverpool games.

Another top clash for Oliver no Bennett though.

Chris Kavanagh no appointments.

Pawson is really out of favour at the moment. Nothing for Hussin either, he wasn't with Pawson in the usual EL team last week but he was with Kavanagh at the weekend. No Game for Bankes again either.

Great game for Madley, and deserved imo, after what I would call a successful ‘experiment’ with Hooper. Other appointments mainly expected, Oliver did have Arsenal v Liverpool not so long ago but there’s been plenty of games since then so perhaps not such an issue. Big 6 games are his bread and butter! Coote also had Everton v Man U on that same day IIRC...

I have one question for readers. Do we think something has happened with Craig Pawson or am I reading too much into it? He had FA cup and Community Shield back to back but since the start of the season hasn’t had any ‘big’ games that I recall. I know he has had games so I believe no injury problems, but I don’t know - perhaps they simply just prefer other names in big games at the minute?

Also, one final thing (and I don’t want to sound negative because I’m enjoying the appointments this season especially compared to previous ones), but is there really any need to have Madley as 4thO at Everton the night before his big game? Just thought there’d be another name available even if from SG2 or national list as we’ve seen. Nevertheless, good luck!

Good set of appointments again.
Bankes and Pawson out of favour at the moment. Also haven't seen Gillett in the middle for a while, what's happened there?

Oliver just had liverpool last weekend anyway, so I don't think its too close.

Pawson does seem heavily out of favour. Two championship appointments already is unusual. He was poor in Leicester vs United and United vs Newcastle. He does rely on VAR to often for my liking. Seems like every time a big decision comes along he is at the monitor. I think other names are preferred.

Mr. Gillett did Spurs v. Newcastle last weekend (23rd. October). Can't speak for why Messrs. Banks and Pawson seem out of favour.

Fulham reacquainted with England once again, and a second Fulham game in a row for Robathan.

Not expecting much of a result at the Emptyhad, so it’s a free hit.

Good to see Madley on a big game, no surprise Oliver has Chelsea v Arsenal.

Also want to mention what a good fourth official appointment for Sunny Gill.

Jarnail Singh was fourth official a few times in the PL, but I don’t recall him ever having a middle.

Select group referees are contracted to referee all the top four divisions of english football, Pawson refereing in the championship isn’t necessarily because he’s upset someone, he’s had Man City V Brighton and a europa league tie since the hysteria around the united goal a few weeks back.

As a consequence of the appointments being (mostly) more spread out, and trialing the likes of Hooper and Madley on bigger games, Pawson is the one to miss out.  He's still in the top 10 in terms of number of appointments received this season, so I don't think there's anything serious behind it other than it's rotation.
