Leicester v Palace on Saturday will go ahead as planned despite the new local restrictions in Leicester and the surrounding area (BBC Football News). I presume therefore there will be no travel problems for Jon Moss and the other match officials. I presume too that Kevin Friend's trips (x 4) to the capital as referee and VAR will be unaffected by the local lockdown, being essential work trips. Am I right on this do you think?

Like everyone else, I find these appointments even more bizarre than usual but, surely, there must be some reason behind them.  Is there no-one out there who can hazard a guess as to what it might be? Even ERNIE would be better than this.

Surely ERNIE would always pick Darren Bond.

Pity Ken Wynn is not still on the list. And as for Jack Potts....... I'm still waiting to see him  ;D

You are all referring to the premium bonds, I was thinking of someone related to the Fastest Milkman and Two Ton Ted from Teddington when ERNIE was mentioned... ;D

Yes, and no appointment of 'spare' SG1s on to Championship games, as happened most weeks until the games were called off in March. In view of the number of PL and Championship games involved in a short space of time, this is perhaps not surprising, but it is surprising that Hooper has ended up without a game.

Having watched him midweek I am not even moderately surprised that he has no appointment

I think we can all say that hooper is not at the top of the appointment list putting him spare for var duty instead

Not overly impressed with Tierney tonight. 2 awful tackles - 1 from Ndombele and 1 from gosling both should have been red IMO, VAR obviously happy with them. A few other weird decisions.
Think it should have been a penalty for Tottenham early on as well. Not one of his better performance!!
