I think Newcastle V Burnley is a pretty big game. I thought Harrington might get Leeds V Brentford. There's a double week next weekend and then it's Christmas so sure he'll get a PL game or two in there.

Good to see Gillett on a Spurs game and Marriner with West Ham V Chelsea.
As Villa in the past, and most recent, have a history of referees getting their first prem games with them involved, i reckon harrington Will get Norwich v Villa in the next set of mid week games.

Salisbury at Palace, Scott at Burnley, Mason at Middlesbrough come immy to mind.

... and take it as read that Gerrard will be aware of this in advance and get his team to play accordingly. I'm not saying it is illegal or unfair, just tactical, and it worked at Selhurst Park last Saturday.

(Clattenburg complained about being given West Brom V Crystal Palace, I think it was, the week after he'd left for Saudi Arabia, which I'm not sure was the best attitude.)

To put that in its correct context he had been asked what game he would like for his retirement game & instead of getting it, like every other referee retiring does, had been given the least fashionable game that weekend & one where guesting is difficult. It was a dig at the PGMOL and not because he thought the game beneath him. He wanted a game where he could spend some time at the ground with his family and have them enjoy the occasion but was instead given a game where the referees and their guests are at opposite sides of the ground and don't see each other at all. I'd guested there with him a couple of weeks before. Jr & I met him at the hotel pre-match for lunch & then met back up with him there after the game.We didn't see him at the ground, which jr was certainly used to being able to do at every other ground & he kept apologising to jr for not having seen him there.  He didn't want that same scenario for his wife & kids, and that was the context of his comment.

A last match at West Brom is definitely finishing on a high - at least in terms of altitude.
