Well I thought kavanagh was rubbish tbh , for most of the game he looked like a little boy lost who didn’t seem to have a clue what he was doing , no Kmi wrong but IMO lots of pushes and pulls given the wrong way and Callum Wilson’s caution near the end was absurd ! If this is an example of select group referees we are in deep trouble .

Bit of an off day then, He's normally quite good.

Having watched Oliver's performance at the emirates, I Have to say he is miles ahead of a lot of SG1, I think SG1 would do a hell of a lot better if they just got rid of some of the dross referees.

Other than Rob Jones and a reportedly improving Tim Robinson, who else is there to replace them with ?

Andy Davies looked thrilled at being on scoreboard duties at the Emirates this afternoon....

Darren Bond and Darren England are the only ones I can think of apart from Robinson and Jones

Those are the main ones that come to mind for me too, along with quite possibly Gillett.

I thought Kavanagh did fine today in general in what were pretty difficult playing conditions.

Completely forgot about Gillett he would also be one that would quite possibly be promoted

60mph winds inland, average 80mph winds waterside (where bmb towers just happens to be) and highest wind speed recorded here was 108mph. So yeah just a tad windy here today and lots of rain, pretty normal for autumn but it's bound to have had some effect on the game.  I saw some of the puddles pitchside pre kick off - they looked like watering holes you see on the savannah! There have always been drainage issues main stand side of the pitch - many a time I have sat on the front row of the family stand with literally a stream running through the walkway area there - the pretend regulars soon stopped laughing at the actual regulars who always turned up in wellies & waterproofs on days like today!

I stayed home! Watched a yacht be ripped from its moorings and thrown up onto the dual carriage way that runs past the harbour - about 400m from bmb towers. Not that you could actually see the dual carriageway by that point, it was under water. Then watched the NBI!

Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Happy to report that Simon Hooper was very good today. Albeit in not the most difficult game to officiate.
