Not be rude or uncomplimentary to Salisbury and Brooks who are very good capabale referees but for both of them to get a game before tony Harrington is scandalous IMO.

Kavanagh/Friend well out of favour atm. Good to see England with a TV game on Sunday. Tierney continues his big game experience with his 1st Merseyside Derby.

Will publish the matches referees etc details shortly

I think it's good to see Messrs. Salisbury and Brooks making their PL debuts. I'm sure Mr. Harrington's turn will come soon.

Harrington will most likely get a game now in the next few weeks. I'm not sure the precise order makes much difference to be honest - I've certainly heard of bigger scandals...

Not sure it can be said Kavanagh/Friend are out of favour. Both missed the start of season but seem to have had reasonably regular appointments since their return. Both have a game this week, with Kavanagh being VAR on Chelsea V Man Utd (again!) and refereeing a West Ham team who seem to be possible challengers for the top 4.

Tierney seems to be having a good season, although it would be nice to see a bit more variety in appointments for the bigger games - Taylor/Tierney/Oliver seem to have done a lot.

Fine, respectfully I will disagree because but for a referee who had only 1 season at SG2, rarely doing any of the top games to get a PL game before the man who was doing all these things better and more often for me is not right

Good to see some of the newbies with games.
Hope Salisbury has a good game at the Palace, not the easiest of games for him to start with, but i wish him all the best.
Would have liked to have seen Chelsea v Man utd  game to have gone to Marriner or Pawson.

Looking forward to the card shark visiting Villa Park, but not sure many Villa fans may concur with my thoughts.

Hope Harrington gets a chance soon and Gillett gets used more often.

Tierney with his first Merseyside derby IIRC.

Atkinson gets a big name game for once in recent times, and no surprise Taylor has the prime time Sunday offerings.

The midweek games incidentally are all live on Amazon I believe.

Good to see the newbies paired up with big hitters holding the number boards.

Absolutely delighted to see Salisbury and Brooks getting their debut, I wish them the very best of luck for what is hopefully the start of a successful EPL career and beyond.

It strikes me looking at these appointments that it is not only an issue with new referees getting a game there is also an issue of some of the established guys not getting a chance at big games, as a result there isn't room for the new guys on the smaller games.

For example -  why not give Tony Harrington Norwich v Wolves and give Simon Hooper Liverpool v Southampton or Chelsea v Man United? I know that may seem strange but shouldn't performance be rewarded? I can't recall Simon Hooper having many KMI errors or VAR interventions this season or last, whereas Anthony Taylor (who is a fantastic referee admittedly) has had a quite a few over this season and last. Just because he is a big name doesn't mean he should automatically get the big games (he is full capable of handling them of course) the pool for top games needs to be widened and referees like Simon Hooper need to be given a chance to prove themselves. In my experience most people do better when a little confidence is expressed in them from their managers/leaders.

Can’t remember when Simon Hooper missed a KMI. You obviously didn’t see the massive error he made at turf moor on Saturday. Anderson clearly hauling down Wood when on goal. It was an awful performance and not the first one at turf moor this season.
