Good to see Mike Dean on Spurs V Man City.

Quite surprised to see Lee Mason on Leicester V Chelsea, although he seems to be having a fairly solid season in fairness.

Oliver and Taylor with crucial games near the bottom of the table.

Very shocked to see Mason on a top four clash. Decent game for the card shark from the Wirral too.

Linington with a nice short trip to play with the boards at AFCB.

Mason picking up decent games of late.
Big game at the bottom for Taylor!

Would never have picked Lee Mason for that game!

Good to see Mike Dean on our game at Spurs. Some big referees for the big games down at the bottom of the table too.
David Silva olé.

Well I am not happy with Mr Dean's appointment, here's hoping he gives us a decision for the first time in yonks like he has done in the last several times he's officiated City... he's having an excellent season on the whole to be fair (I'll forgive him his poor showing in the Spurs-Newcastle game in August).  We'll be needing more than just a few decisions to get anything out of the game though - City have by miles the better options and form, could get embarrassing for us I'm worried... still with all those strikers (exactly none) we have what could possibly go wrong....

Your multi-million pound budget probably needs to be managed a bit better then.

I wonder how the appointments will work for the following two weeks with the introduction of the winter break and split weekends? Will each referee generally be appointed to one weekend and have a break for the other, or will they all be used each weekend, perhaps with more Football League games getting a SG1 referee?

One would hope that they are given one week off, what's good for the players should be good for the SG1 refs and ARs as well.

We still only have 1 striker in Harry Kane who is out until the end of the season in all likelihood.  We don't have the money that the rest of the big 6 have to spend on transfers & wages because of the new stadium primarily.  Nobody should be able to compete with City full stop, the money they've spent has been obscene over the years!

Maybe try producing your own players then.

Complete dross from Hooper from the VAR booth for the Liverpool game. Two stone wall penalties dismissed. Really surprised Friend missed the first one, not so the second one from the challenge on Ings by Fabinho.

Personally I’m not convinced it was a penalty on ings. Not as stonewall as you suggest!
