From Midlands take A14 including new section around Cambridge and up A11 to A47. I believe this is all dual carriageway now with just the roundabout at Bartin Mills to slow you up
True, but still around 300 mile  return journey for Attwell.  It would of course only be another 40 miles or so for Marriner if distance is the main factor.

I can't see how distance is the main factor when Pawson has a 500+ mile round trip to Dorset
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Hooper gets a game? A bit risky after some of his performances in the past could have used ward or jones for some of the games

Same here. In the Championship, the officials are travelling all over the place.

How is Hooper more risky than Ward?

Surprised hooper has got a game after being on var duty

I don’t think they will give any trial games to sg2 refs now with the league ending soon so with this mind will we see any sg 2 refs getting promoted onto the prem list next season?

Arguably Ward is a candidate for the “lucky to be in SG2” cluster.....

what I was saying in my last post was that ward could have had a game alongside Robinson

I didn't mean that hooper is better than ward because he is not

I think the general thread of this particular discussion is that Hooper is SG1 wheras Ward is SG2, therefore it is no surprise he has a PL game and Ward does not. In terms of who is the better official, and which officials deserve an opportunity in the PL, that is a matter of opinion!

Why could Ward have had a game?

Jones and England have already had trial games.

Why Ward?
