Friend at Norwich again?!

Good to see Marriner on a big game, he’s had a very good spell since lockdown was curtailed, and Mason still picks up a VAR slot despite the utter rubbish at Old Trafford last night.

I'm happy with Pawson for the "it's not a derby" derby!

Yes, very strange that Kevin Friend has another Norwich game the weekend after he took charge of the game v West Ham. With Norwich out of it, this might have been a good game for a SG2 on the promotion trail to take charge of. I am pleased that Simon Hooper has got another game on the PL this week. I was beginning to wonder whether he might be kicking his heels (or the numbers board) for the rest of the season.

So out of 19 home league games, 9 have been done by either Attwell and Friend. I just wish someone somewhere could explain why.

I suggest travel especially at the moment. I believe that Friend is based in Leicester and Attwell Warwickshire. The next closest would be Coote (Notts?) or Scott (Oxford?). Everyone else is miles away from the Carra.

But then Oliver from Northumberland to Watford or Pawson from Sheffield to the south coast are travelling a long distance. I think it’s more likely a lack of imagination on the part of the appointers!

Yes nice little circa 500+ miles round trip for Craig Pawson.  He seems to have a lot of travelling since the return, more so than others in terms of mileage covered.

That was my thought too.  Even so, travelling any distance to Norwich ifrom any direction is painful.  Leicester to Norwich is two and half hours plus of tortuous A roads without a motorway in sight.  Stuart Attwell's journey wouldn't be a whole lot better although he may get a glimpse of the M6 en route.

From Midlands take A14 including new section around Cambridge and up A11 to A47. I believe this is all dual carriageway now with just the roundabout at Bartin Mills to slow you up

So has Darren Cann moved then? @ Burnley tonight and Manchester United next week.
