Betts and Hussin were Craig's team in Europe last time out. Pawson is 4th official here, so I suspect more likely is they will be a team, but Pawson and Tierney swap roles in Europe.
Normally it is Lennard and Hussin with Pawson

I wonder if Tierney has a Europa League tie imminent with the team appointed?

After no group stage game in the EL this season and only one previously I think it would be a surprise if he gets a knockout match, I wonder has that happened before with a referee directly appointed in the knockout rounds? Would be interesting if he is appointed.

Unless I missed something, Tierney is classified as 2nd Group in UEFA. EL32 will only see Elite and 1st Group referees.

Given the current circumstances I wonder if they will not adhere to this? Or perhaps he is a standby in case an appointed team of officials are suddenly withdrawn?

There are 16+32=48 matches on CL and EL.

The Elite group has 27 referees and the First Group 53. 80 in total. So there are plenty of referees to cover these matches.

There are 3 CL available matches this week. Barcelona - PSG (tricky match for both), Porto - Juventus (Oliver won't go there) and Sevilla - Dortmund.

Why won't Oliver go to Porto-Juve

Because he would then have to go into a quarantine hotel when he returns to England.  Portugal is on the red list.

I assumed that it was a reference to his history with Juventus.

I too suspect it may be more to do with Michael Oliver's role in a Real Madrid v Juventus game 2 or 3 years ago.  He awarded a penalty and sent off the Juve GK near the end which put RM through. The general consensus was that both decisions were justified and Oliver was supported by Collina.  He and his wife Lucy received all sorts of despicable threats subsequently (referred to in another thread).

As MO is VAR for the West Ham game on Monday, he could only fly out Tuesday which makes Sevilla-Dortmund the only option being a Wednesday game.
Taylor on the other hand could in theory do Barcelona - PSG on Tuesday.

Travel restrictions have prevented some English officials from taking UEFA appointments this week

That may well be part of the reason, but at the moment no English referee can go to Portugal as it is on the red zone list and the government have said that applies even to elite sports.  The same reason why Arsenal's two games against Benfica will be in Rome and Athens.

What has happened with football these days? Easily a penalty for Arsenal. They must be watching a different game. Can someone explain to me why in the world it was overturned??

Similar in the West Brom - United game.  Penalty awarded then cancelled on review.

Personally I'd no problem with the West Brom goal as Lindelof was far too easily out-muscled.  That said, on another day, with a different referee and VAR, that goal may have been ruled out given the arm in Lindelof's face.  United defenders need to be stronger
