I cannot for the life of me see what you’re on about GameDay2021. You could argue the challenge is minimum reckless (and it’s clearly DOGSO once a foul is awarded) when if the challenge doesn’t happen Vardy is running in on goal with no one else around him. You could also potentially argue it’s SFP as the follow through is on the borderline between reckless and endangering safety of an opponent. Just had to be a red card.

Thought Jones and his team had a really good game tonight. Two big calls, both 100% correct. Pundits on the television as per usual trying to cause an argument about anything our officials do. That’s the biggest annoyance as an ex ref watching sky these days...

You need to look at it from both sides. Its clearly one of the where no one will be happy. Its going to divide people. Some will say he got the ball. Theyve a point. Some will say the pass was too near the keeper to be a red. Theyve got a point. Some will be like u. Theyve got a point

My point being no one is going to be happy. The pundits have a point. They have a clue and wouldnt be pundits if they didn't. My view was red the minute I saw it. Now I think yellow. I'll probably wake up tomorrow and think something else.

Its just one of those ones. We could argue til the cows come home and there's no point having an argy bargy over it

I think the key here is that you felt red immediately but in hindsight would now call yellow. Rob Jones had to make an immediate call and went red too. Interestingly after all the nonsense interventions from VAR in recent weeks Jonathan Moss didn’t feel he needed to overrule and quite right in my view.
Like others I felt Jones had a good solid game and would hope this will give him added confidence to push on and establish himself. I have to say I always felt that the potential is there to be an outstanding referee, more so than Darren England, but seeing the separate on-going thread it is clear the latter has settled more into PL life. In the longer run only time will tell hi goes in to have the most stellar career.

I get your point. I do agree it was one of his better performances though. He settled in to the game which is something he struggled to do in other games. He looked relaxed last night
