Bankes (again) and Swarbrick, what a disaster for Fulham, clearly the FA/PGMOL don't like us. Michael Salisbury is in town and we haven't had him for ages, so why not him?

Swarbrick also impacting on Coote (who has a great appointment) and Kavanagh (the FA/PGMOL must hate him too??). They've already decided Swarbrick isn't up to the task hence why he's 'retiring' at the end of the season, so why wasn't he seen off with Lee 'Phil Mitchell' Mason immediately?

There's definitely something amiss with some of the allocations IMHO

I reckon Gillett was penned in for Leicester v Wolves but then was appointed to hold the boards in the FA Cup, which might take precedence (edit - certainly would for a middle, not sure about 4th!). Reason I say that is Gillett is often paired with Simon Long and Richard West. Even so, you'd think there are enough alternates to having to appoint England to consecutive Leicester matches!

I would assume England must be an oversight and will be changed.

But as mentioned above, the amount of officials who have the same team with only a weeks break in between is unacceptable. Coote, despite getting all the big decisions correct in the Everton/Spurs game, will immediately be under unnecessary pressure simply because he had to make those decisions and they are still fresh in the mind.

I wouldn’t be so sure.  Either last season or the season before, we had Taylor twice in 5 days and that wasn’t changed.

Taylor is 4th Official at Anfield on Saturday and then refereeing on the south coast (Bournemouth) the next day - that's a long schlep between venues is a short space of time.  I know he is a professional referee, etc. etc. but that is far from ideal and no player would be asked to do it.

He repeats the trick midweek with 4th Official duties at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday and then refereeing at Spurs the next day.  A shorter distance, but still not great.

Added to the earlier comments made about referees officiating the same team in a short period of time suggests they need to spend a bit more time working on resource management than is currently the case.

They don’t look at last appointments otherwise we wouldn’t get the appointments like this. But has been a recurring theme since Webb took over

Long trek for Taylor from Liverpool to Bournemouth sat/sun.
Good to see Oliver on Man City v Arsenal.
Marriner back with a game at Everton.
Good game for Bramall at Villa Park, will await with eager anticipation.
It seems quite a few referees are quite familiar with the teams they are refereeing.
I guess two semi finals takes away 4 sg1 referees, 5 as it seems tony harrington isnt available at present. Pgmol also seem reluctant to appoint Scott to prem leagues middles.
Thus not too many options.

Not too bad. From home to Liverpool and then to Manchester airport to fly down (I guess)? Realistically someone else could be 40 at anfield

1 hour drive to Manchester, fly to Southampton then car/bus/train to Bournemouth - flight is just over an hour, car/bus/train to Bournemouth - 1-1.5 hours. If the latter 2 it's a 15 min taxi ride to the hotel. Better than a 5.5 hour drive but lots of changing back and forth.
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!

Does wonders for the carbon footprint too.
Let us hope he has excess baggage and has to leave the yellow shirt at Manchester airport.

Andy Madley replaces Darren England on Leicester v Wolves. Darren England replaces Andy Madley as VAR for Palace vs Everton.

Stuart Burt isn’t wearing his FIFA Badge this afternoon. Michael Oliver is and it looks like Dan Cook is.

Found it for the second half.

Top performance as per from Michael Oliver including the kit choice.

Would that be Dan Cook and not Simon Bennett ?

My apologies, yes it would be. Unusual to another AR with Oliver, happened a few times lately though.

Stuart Burt had it on in the second half so it probably fell off.
