No Surprise to see Taylor on the big game. Good game that for Salisbury on TV. Pawson gets a game after a while. Bankes with two West Ham games in a row although it was a month ago.


Not happy with England on VAR again.


Huge game that for Hooper in midweek, about time.

Good to see Oliver get the weekend off and Taylor midweek.

Taylor did do City just 3 rounds ago though

Glad to see teams sticking together,
Andy Madley I think has had Derek Eaton and Steven Meredith for the 3rd time in a row. Simon Long and Richard West being a pair again, and with Jarred Gillett. Chris Kavanagh having Dan Cook and Dan Robathan. Darren England with his Uefa team James Mainwaring and Wade Smith. Pawson with Marc Perry and Scott Ledger.

I think that is really positive to keep those type of partnerships going and keep using them

Nice set of appointments, everyone with a middle except Marriner. Maybe he was penciled in for the now postponed Arsenal v Man City clash.

Very refreshing to see Bramall getting regular appointments (3 now in 11 game weeks)

A return to the Premier League for Bobby Madley on the boards at Brentford. And a first VAR appearance of the season for Rob Jones.

Excellent appointments, and nicely spread around.
Stand outs for me:- Hooper with a top game and thoroughly deserved. As I’ve said before, one of the better and more consistent Premier League referees now. More exposure to the top teams has certainly helped.

Tony Harrington continues his good run of games. I must say I wasn’t that sold on him when he got promoted last year, but he’s settled in well and is refereeing well too.

Thomas Bramall gets a nice relegation six pointer in his first season and again, he’s started his season well.

Jarred Gillett has an interesting West London derby and has had all top flight appointments this term, not surprisingly.

And John Brooks, another referee whose stock is rising, gets the South Coast clash.

Taylor with Liverpool and Man City, and though I’m not a fan of his, he’s refereeing well currently and goes into the World Cup in good form.

Excellent appointments with a lot of interest as always.

I don't especially see that matters, especially for Bankes where we're going back to August - that was a time of a different Prime Minister and a different Monarch! Both the clubs and referee have had other games in the mean time.

It's curious that Bankes got two games in the last double weekend/midweek round and has the same again but nothing in between!

I thought Sunday-Tuesday turnarounds were generally avoided, apart from over Christmas etc. Pawson's schedule seems unnecessary.

Fair play to Hooper. I wasn't convinced he'd ever get to this sort of level but seems to have been refereeing well this season so it's good appointments are being spread out and done on merit, and other officials are being given the chance to develop.

I think England's VAR appointment on Liverpool V Man City is crazy after weekend just gone. It feels like an avoidable problem waiting to happen.

When did Bobby Madley last officiate at a PL game? It might be very recently for all I know! And is that Rob Jones' first PL VAR appointment since the 2020/21 season?

Marriner does not seem to have had so many on-field appointments this season.

And Oliver gets Fulham!!!

Well deserved top appointment for Hooper, maybe he should of been considered for the shiny fifa badge at the end of the year with all the refs stepping down but he doesn’t seem to be in consideration for it which is a bit of a surprise
