Interesting to see a number of non-SG1 assistants on matches, with Kane, Mainwaring and Wood making their PL debuts if I’m not mistaken! No surprise which refs have the top games, although disappointed Pawson is being used for a match where neither team can move position. If ever there was an opportunity to either give a trial game or allow someone like Bankes to referee Man City!

Kevin Friend withdrew from his VAR and 4th official fixtures on Monday and Tuesday, so we will have to see if he is available for Sunday, as he seems to be the only SG1 official not used in some form in this round of fixtures.

No shocks with Dean, Oliver and Atkinson landing 3 of the biggest matches alongside Attwell and Kavanagh.

A bit surprised to see the FA Cup final team split up - especially Nunn not being with Taylor and Beswick, though that may be more down to geography and where he lives compared to the other 2.

Seems a waste for Pawson (and to some extent Taylor, although he does have the cup final coming up). Maybe he'll get a play-off?

It doesn't seem likely Mason or Scott are retiring unless they've already had their final match or will bow out with a play-off - who knows about some of the others.

I can imagine there being a big VAR controversy affecting the final day! I think the allocation of VARs like Coote and Mason is poor - I think they're two of the weaker ones in that role.

There's only 27 assistant refs (if the list I have just googled is correct) so with 10 games that's 30 required as they want 10 assistant video refs too. That meant a shortage as SG assistants won't have done VAR duties so they've got PL lines instead.

Interesting that this will be Andre Marriner's 1st Tottenham game of the season.
Incidentally, it is also the 1st time, Taylor will referee Newcastle, (and 6th time on Liverpool)

Michael Oliver does West ham and Aston Villa for the 6th time this season (equally).

Atkinson with both Leicester v United games this season.

Attwell with Chelsea again in another important game, and Kavanagh with the other big game at the bottom

I wonder if it’s Madley and Coote for the play off second legs.

I was shocked no SG1 have been allocated to the play off first legs.

I would hope that the card shark from the Wirral gets the final if he decides to hang up his boots at the end of the season...

Taylor has us in 2017 at Wembley. I sincerely hope it’s not Moss..
