Hmmm.  Attwell, Taylor and Marriner with the key games in the battle for Top 4.  Attwell and Marriner have had decent seasons, Taylor somewhat mixed.  I expected Oliver at Liverpool bearing in mind he never got to referee their game at OT.

Interest in the VAR selections also.  Gillett seems to have been generally reliable and Tierney for the Liverpool game has plenty of experience.  Bankes as VAR has had controversies I believe so his appointment for Leicester vs Spurs is perhaps more of a surprise.

A premier league debut for Shaun Hudson who is the assistant for Leeds v West Brom.

Just noticed all the 4O appointments are SG2 so one of them could get a short trial if the referee is injured. Not too surprising given that SG1's are refereeing or on VAR duties.

And Lee Mason's final final goodbye as an SG1 is on VAR, ready for his next career role.  I do hope Sheffield United vs Burnley is uncontroversial for him.

4 key games - 6 unimportant games - could have been used to use some of the less used refs  :(

Taylor somewhat mixed.

Taylor had an excellent game at Selhurst Park last night. A few debatable VAR red card checks, but IMO the on field decisions were fair.

(I agree that his season has been somewhat mixed though.)

Was expecting Graham Scott and Darren England to get a game or Simon Hooper or at least Andy Madley

It's the Schlupp challenge after 5 minutes that has angered Arsenal fans in particular. Just seen it and in my opinion it's one that VAR Attwell could have advised Taylor to check the monitor.

Let's just hope Simon Hooper looks at the correct frames on VAR - unlike the ones shown on Wednesday evening at Palace!

I'm late to this thread, but in what way are there only 4 "key" games this weekend? Assuming that place money in itself is not a criterion, there are surely 6 games on which European qualification in one form or another hinges - and that is disregarding the highly unlikely prospect of Leeds so qualifying. Surely all 6 are "key" from that point of view? Am I missing something?

Added to that every position in the PL is worth £1 million in prize money, so it is difficult to say that any game is "unimportant"

I hope the appropriate social distancing is in place at “Shockley” Park.

Will be a squeeze getting 20 officials in the VAR hub come 4pm!

Craig Pawson and Andre Marriner (injured) have swapped roles - Pawson refereeing at Anfield, Marriner VAR for West Ham - Southampton.
