I hope James Linington doesn't fall foul of any new year gremlins resulting in him needing to be replaced during the game. :o

Just an average game for him. Turned down 3 penalty appeals ( 2 correct, one a seen them given category ) for Norwich before eventually giving a soft 4th appeal. Then managed to even it up with a soft penalty to QPR. Most of the bookings would be technically correct, but on another day another ref would have managed it differently and probably in my opinion had less bookings.

Although he wasn't helped with the main talking point, a disallowed goal for Norwich which I think the assistant was either playing to old laws and flagging someone offside in the middle when the ball went down the right or if he thinks Cantwell was offside when he scored I'm afraid pictures have shown it was probably one of the worst decisions given by an AR in a long time, and this subsequently caused tempers to rise which didn't help.

For once I agree with Mark Warburton who commented : “it seems if you shout loud enough then you will likely get a decision.”
I believe this is a poor trait that Langford unfortunately carries

Very strong performance from Jarred Gillett this evening from what I saw - consistent, not card happy and had a good rapport with the players.  The commentators were very complimentary too.  I hope he is promoted next season - he is the strongest referee in SG2 by some distance.

Jarred Gillett showed his class tonight at Brentford.. Excellent throughout. When you see a referee of his status in the Championship considering some of the dross that clubs have to put up with in the Premier League it's beyond comprehension

There isn’t much competition really let’s be honest!! The dross in SG2 is alarming.

Up to the 94th minute - a very impressive performance by Matt Donohue, could not find a fault.  Then he misses a handball for Derby, which should have been a penalty but he only gave a corner.  Shame, as he was excellent up to that point.

Not for me, Harris's arm was in what would certainly not be outside of the silhouette, it was only slightly out from his body.  No way that would be given in a game without VAR.
