No problem really with any of the refereeing appointments although not sure it's necessary for Kavanagh to do PL game just 48 hours before.

I'm not sure they had to use Friend as FO just a few days before the FA Cup final either.

I thought Pawson/Kavanagh might have a decent chance of doing the final. I'd maybe make Tierney favourite now? I guess Moss could have a chance. Or Mike Dean to get it again? He's certainly been one of the top performers.

What sort of Mickey Mouse appointment officers do we have?
Or is it they dont consider the championship to be important enough.

I Wouldn’t Say Giving It To Dean/Moss/Tierney would Make it a mickey mouse appointment, Moss Has Done Two cup finals in his career, Dean has Done The Playoff final 3X and well tierney has to get a big appointment at some point.

I should have been more clearer I was referring to the fact that a referee has a game 48hrs before what is a very important game, what does that say about the managaement team of the PGMOL.
All they have done is give the media and others a stick to beat him with if it goes pear shaped, notwithstanding the welfare of the ref himself.
As a supply league appointments officer I wouldnt do it.

A thoroughly deserved appointment for Graham Scott - I was very sceptical about his promotion to SG1 a few years back, but he’s became a very safe pair of hands. Also a great appointment for Kavanagh after another solid season on the list.

I’m not entirely sure Pawson or Taylor particularly deserve a play off given their indifferent form this season, but hopefully this means the final will go to someone in great form (e.g. Mike Dean!)

Congratulations to all. Very pleased for Scott, I've been very impressed with him this season. A just reward for a great season for him, imo.

How could Ian Hussin run the line for a playoff in Derby and officiate at Burnley v Arsenal in less than 24 hours?

Huge congratulations to Paul and his team! I think he has had an excellent season and this is a fitting reward. Hopefully next season he can push on and get top 6 clashes!

Good appointment - I think he's had a very good season overall.

I'm a bit surprised Kavanagh is the Fourth Official considering he refereed a semi-final but I don't suppose Aston Villa will have had too much to complain about (although they did think they should have a free-kick in the build-up to West Brom's goal!)

Eddie Ilderton also took charge of a semi final and is fourth official in the final.  I get the feeling that Andy Woolmer will not be the referee that continues that trend.
