He appears not to be doing so. I hope he isn't injured, he hasn't had the best of luck with injuries. Perhaps it's holiday or family commitments though I would be surprised if a full time SG2 referee were allowed to take holiday so early in the new season
It really doesn't work like that. They are humans the same as any other employees, they can request holiday at any time. It would be discouraged during the season, but if they are going to a wedding, family birthday, or even stag do, they will get a week off.
Well that's good to read. I will look out for Smith's name in the forthcoming appointments. Let's hope it's there.
