It would seem Salisbury is definitely being earmarked for promotion. His first Championship game was at Reading too I believe.

I hope Rob Jones still gets Leeds V Fulham next week.

There seems to be a better spread of referees geographically in SG2 than SG1, as I cannot see many long journeys for officials in this set of appointments - with the possible exception of Michael Salisbury.

Linington, Bond and Woolmer on the TV games.

An excellent sign for Michael Salisbury in terms of a possible promotion. I would suggest that this is a warm up match ready for him to referee the league 2 play off final!

Game of the round goes to Linington and a decent game for Bond too!

So do I!

That said, we will probably end up with someone like Davies or Simpson who have a decent track record of producing poor performances in big games.

Pleased to see James Linington get the biggest game rather than the appointments committee falling back on the customary Robinson, Simpson, Langford ec. Have always rated him and think he has had a solid season

One noticeable absence from Championship and PL 4O duties and that is James Adcock. He didn't seem in good shape when he resumed at Sunderland and Rotherham after long term absence earlier in the year  I hope he is OK, and perhaps rehabilitating further before resuming in the new season, whenever that is, rather than being forced to leave top flight football due to continuing issues with his fitness.

I’m afraid I fear this may well be the end for Adcock - he certainly didn’t look very mobile when he did return this season.

Ok a separate note, just noticed the two assistants with Michael Salisbury aren’t SG2 either, therefore this is surely the L2 play off final officiating team!
