James Bell with the massive Welsh derby… good to see Webb pick up a plum tie too.

The Welsh derby hasn’t attracted SG1 attention for a while now,  certainly appears to be a match which is used as a pre empter to a trial game in the PL.

I didn’t even notice James Bell on the South Wales Derby when I quickly looked through but yes a big game for him.

Do you think he’s a contender for SG1 promotion? I do think he’s had a very solid season to date but as previously mentioned on here, he is quite injury prone I believe. From the current SG2, you’d still say J Smith is the favourite to become SG1 as well as L Smith (whatever level he’s in)

I always thought Scott Oldham was next in line for a place on the SG2 list, but he seems to have fallen down the pecking order with Finnie, Herczeg, and now Speedie, given Championship outings.

No surprise to see David Webb on the Yorkshire derby, he's always a safe pair of hands. Interesting appts for Bell and Backhouse.

Scott Oldham has always been the safest of safe hands in the EFL. Never seen him have a bad game. I think I remember him having some championship games about 2 years ago but maybe he doesn’t want to go to SG2 and maybe ties in with his job outside of refereeing too

Miss out everything after the word "performance" and add 'except with a flag'. I have seen Gavin ward referee in a satisfactory manner as well as not really satisfactory but I can't say I've ever seen him put in a good performance. However, that is not to say he hasn't and he is in SG2 so someone in authority rates him more highly

It was a disappointing below-par performance from the usually reliable Smith tonight. He'll have to be much better than that on Monday's top-of-the-table game.
