Sorry to be bah humbug but why Willie again!?? He’s had it 3 times in the past, and personally I don’t think he’s been the best referee this season!

This is his third.  My view is that Clancy, Madden and Collum have been the best three this year and the other two have had it more recently.

I bow to your greater expertise Tweed. The best three referees I’ve seen in the games this season have been madden, Robertson and Walsh.

I've not rated Walsh at all the last couple of times I've seen him - nothing major but lots of petty fouls given and some more obvious ones left as well as fairly random decisions to book.

RObertson is probably my favourite ref in Scotland because he lets a game breathe but I think sometimes his eagerness to do that means he doesn't give some fouls so as much as I like him and would happily have him referee Motherwell every week, I think the other three are absolutely consistent when giving fouls and cautions and can handle the big games.

Also neither Walsh or RObertson have the big game experience to do a final - neither have done an Edinburgh or Glasgow derby, Robertson has just had his first go at Rangers v Aberdeen and made one KMI error at least, possibly two.  I think they could both make it to Final Day but they're just not there yet.

i dont normally comment on the refs performance, i realised a long time ago that its a difficult enough job without others passing opinion, but Collums performance yesterday goes back to the good old days of the glasgow mafia gifting decisions to the old firm to sustain their stranglehold over the others.
that was never a penalty, and his inability to control the game led to numerous over the ball fouls by both sides to be fair.
as stated previously collum should not have had the final, and as usual i find it incredulous that a glasgow referee should be officiating a glasgow team in a glasgow/edinburgh final

I cannot comment on the quality of Willie Collums performance yesterday as I’m out the country, but what I can say is that he does not live in Glasgow.
