Many of the rules are staying exactly the same this season of PAR, with the European competition continuing to have its own forum and be administered by anje-roo.
Premier League PAR:
For this season, you will be asked to predict the referee, fourth official and VAR for each Premier League match. 10 points will be awarded for each correct prediction, with a bonus 20 being awarded if you predict a complete trio correctly (meaning each PL match is worth 50 points)
EFL PAR:
For this season, you will be asked to predict 3 fixtures from each division. 100 points will be awarded for each correct prediction, with a bonus 200 if you are able to get all three predictions in the same division correct. If you get all 9 predictions correct, a further bonus of 500 points will be awarded, making each EFL prediction week worth up to 2,000 points!
The Randomiser:
Returning this season will be the Randomiser. There will be three random questions to answer for that weekend's appointments. It could relate to anything to do with the officials from colour of kit to number of fouls to assistant referee pairings etc, etc, etc. 250 points for a correct prediction, a bonus 250 if all three predicitions are correct. Questions will relate to the top four divisions unless stated specifically and can be predicted as 'none' if you feel no official will meet the condition of the question. All members are able to submit their own questions via PM to Mackem ref - they will then be used at an appropriate time within the competition.
Cup Competitions:
As in previous seasons, the PAR Cup and PAR League Cup will continue in the straight knockout format. To clarify, number of goals asked for in a tiebreak situation does not count any goals scored in a penaly shoot out.
European Competition
As previously mentioned, this has its own board this season. Each European Matchweek, there will be the opportunity to predict referees, fourth officials and VARs for 5 Champions League, 5 Europa League and 5 Conference League matches. The point scoring system will work exactly the same as the Premier League PAR as outlined above.
