It is quite refreshing to see some new names at finals day. Graham Lloyd has had an excellent season in terms of appointments - clearly highly thought of. And Bainton deserves this reward for being a solid performer for years - I also think it is testament to his hard work and dedication given he didn’t have a first class career before umpiring!

Not a late replacement.
Change of policy to have the same 3rd umpire all day allowing the other three to have two games each onfield.

I remember when it first started, they had 3 umpires at Finals Day, each getting 2 matches in the day - so it's almost a return to that policy.
