First time I have seen Mr Dickson referee live and to be honest, I was far from impressed.
For an international referee he didnt exude authority as I witnessed with Barnes and Pearce.
He allowed the 2 scrum halves to co-referee the game, the more experienced Michael Young "gaining" more than he lost.
The breakdown was poorly refereed all evening - Newcastle rarely releasing and Exeter not coming in from the hind most foot.
Despite the score line it was a poor game, lit up by Carreras on the wing for the Falcons.

Overall - not great

Tidy little ground, very easy to get to
