Great to see Nick Walsh identified (rightly, in my subjective opinion) as the Scottish referee for the future.

Good to see William Collum still there - I had begun to wonder whether he might have stepped down this Winter, given that he has not been receiving top appointments in Europe for some time.

I suspect he’ll see out his career at UEFA to it’s maximum length.  He’s an official who loves the game, and I can’t see him going before his time.

Nick, even at his relatively young age, has achieved everything in domestic football as a referee, so international competition will now be where he finds his glass ceiling (as all top domestic officials must do).  There are a number of young (relatively speaking) referees who have been given their debuts in the Premiership over the last two years, so it will be interesting to see who pushes on.  The introduction of VAR will also help to blood some more at L2/L1 as more Select officials required in the Premiership each week.

He did a game in Hungary fairly recently - excellent performance from him on the day.  He's just been involved in a recruitment video, he speaks very well, good manner, level headed and interesting.  I'm sure he will very much appeal to young referees as someone to look up to as a role model.
Hajrá Lilák. Csak a Kispest. Hajrá Magyarok! Hajrá játékvezetői csapat! Soha ne add fel. Nincs sárga kérem!!! No Chris Kavanagh doesn't live in Ashton or even in the Greater Manchester area!!
