Is the referee in the England game trying to make a name for himself?
Aside from the disallowed goal, which is arguably more his fault than the assistant's, he didn't get much wrong at all.
Perhaps the change of law has something to do with it, but I'd be fuming if I'd have been penalised for either penalty, especially the handball. The Gomez penalty was soft and I can kind of understand why he gave it, but I thought it was more of a coming together. Thought it was a classic case of levelling up a previous mistake.
