Red card by Gediminas Mazeika at Arsenal looked spot on. Mathieu's trip on Aubameyang on the edge of the area certainly prevented a goal scoring opportunity, and although there was another defender moving back, I don't think he would have prevented the Arsenal player from hitting the back of the net. Taking one for the team is how I would describe it, and in the context of what followed, I think Mathieu was probably not too concerned about seeing red, although a one-match suspension will follow. I didn't see enough of the rest of the game to be able to comment further.
