David Coote as a VAR? God help Eskas in front of Rosseti. Surely having Kavanagh and Coote and Attwell and Hatizdakis would have made more sense.

He's on the talent & mentor group & has been performing really well.

Enea Jorgji who is another of the referees in the group.

Hmm it seems Osmers and Lindhout are in that group as well. I don't recognize the other referees on the picture though.. you?
They have awesome mentors. Sooo great

The mentors/coaching team are superb, Kyros Vassaras, Viktor Kassai, Costas Kapitanis, Sasho Danevski, Bjorn Kuipers, Milorad Mažić, Jan Wegereef, Antonio Damato, Herbert Fandel and Werner Helsen, amongst others.

Gergő Bogár is one of the other referees. He's right behind Kyros in the photo. Maybe someone here can help with the missing names! If not I'll ask one of the above mentioned to identify them for us!

The Lord Elleray was part of this group in the past too IIRC?

Is Papapetrou the 4th on the left? He looks so different on the picture LOL. Lukjančukas on the right, Gishamer 3rd from the right I guess...

The bald referee could be Kristjánsson (ISL), he had some important observers.

The final name, 5th from the right, he looks sooo familiar. Could be Jovanovic' brother. :D

Jorgji (ALB) - Lindhout (NED) - Osmers (GER) - Papapetrou (GRE)  - Bogár (HUN) - Kristjánsson? - ?? - Glova (SVK) - Gishamer (AUT) - Saggi (NOR) - Lukjančukas (LTU)

No shock here - I predicted a win in our predictions league! (We'll ignore I'm bottom of the league...)

First Hungarian team to win their first two games of a European group stage. Hajrá Fradi

MD2 of 2022/23 UEFA Europa League Group Stage

Thursday 15 September 2022

21:00 CET - Braga (Estádio Municipal de Braga)
Braga (POR) - Union Berlin (GER) | Group D
Referee: Filip Glova (SVK)
Assistant Referee 1: Daniel Polacek (SVK)
Assistant Referee 2: Peter Bednar (SVK)
Fourth Official: Michal Očenᚠ(SVK)
Video Assistant Referee: Marco Guida (ITA)
Assistant Video Assistant Referee: Marco Di Bello (ITA)
UEFA Referee Observer: Kyros Vassaras (GRE)
UEFA Delegate: Jim Stjerne Hansen (DEN)

First time that I watched Glova and he was really good. The match was of a normal difficulty but he had full control, dealt very well with mobbing and was very confident. Excellent physical condition.

I am certain that his Observer was more than satisfied last night.

I have been telling you this for ages Edy!

Ever since I described him as grumpy he's been really smiley in games! He's really on top form right now, been consistently decent for the last season or so. He's really thriving in the talent group - I wonder if Kyros is his mentor in the group as other's in it have had their mentors as observers recently. It would certainly explain the new more relaxed Filip and he's really growing in confidence. He's always been very physically fit, he works in wellness away from the football pitch. Loving seeing him progress so well, I think he's in line for promotion to elite in January. He's still young as well, 34, so could really go on & achieve great things.

I think that a promotion in January is too quick. He must have a CL debut first.

However, given the fact that he is in the Talents and Mentors program, he will get proper coaching and I am certain that he will be promoted soon.
