Also why has Oliver not got his 2 normal assistants, Burt and Bennett?

Marciniak has hardly featured recently… important observer is needed to see where he’s at IMO.

His return after being out with long covid. Hope he has now fully recovered.

Perhaps Edy could shed some light into why they’ve decided to implement this.

Because with EL and ELC there are more qualifiers this year. And taking into account that they don't use 3rd Group referees at this stage of the competition, they have to use all the Elite and 1st group referees.
