Fairly insignificant observers for them both....

Dear Herr Fröhlich and Herr Nobs,

I am so sorry to learn that you are fairly insignificant. I do hope that this knowledge will not blight your lives and that you will bear it with fortitude. After all, someone somewhere probably loves you!

Hochachtungsvoll,

Cakir must be a lock for a semi now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Orsato has the other, but if all the English sides perish then Taylor has a chance IMO.

The final... has to be Kuipers.

Given that there are only limited options since the real Elite is 10-12 referees Cakir should be a lock for a SF. Now if Bayern is out then Brych should have a match.

Turpin could also be an option with a good performance in Seville. Orsato could be the 4th name or Taylor if Dortmund eliminates Man. City.

For the final I would say Makkelie or Lahoz (if Real is out).

I thought Lahoz's appointment last week was a test for the final, one that he passed.

For me:

If the final does not involve Real Madrid then Lahoz, Real Madrid v PSG - Taylor or Real Madrid v Anyone else - Turpin.

Rumor from the same source that confirmed Dean Kavanagh for Fa Cup Semis and Orsato for lasts years final and much more:
Madrid v Chelsea will be Cakir/Orsato
PSG v Man City will be Kuipers/Brych

Final should be Lahoz. Turpin apparently has a slight chance

That would make a Real Madrid v PSG final a bit awkward...

Thats without those teams. Surely, if all those refs are in the semis, it has to be an English ref on the final. Probably Taylor

Expected appointment.

That leaves Brych for PSG/MCI and Kuipers with Cakir for the 2nd legs (Orsato is an outside bet).

Lahoz for the final if Real is out, or Makkelie again (like 2016 with Clatts) if RM is on the final. Outside bets would be Turpin and Taylor.

Well that was unexpected......

And so much for your reliable “same source”, possibly even the same source which has started firm rumours in this site over the past number of years, with a success rate of about 6.3% 🤪

No one saw him being a UCL candidate. I would've put him down as prime candidate for UEL final

I highly doubt uefa appoint the same referees two yrs running, theres enough suitable candidates for both finals, that that shouldn't be the case.

I know but I wouldn't be shocked. If u ask my personal opinion (no sources involved) I'd say if no Rmadrid involved then Lahoz,  if Rmadrid v Mancity then Turpin and then Rmadrid v Psg then Taylor.

UEL I'd say Turpin if not the UCL but if needed for the UCL then I'd say Taylor

I'd say Cakir will get 2nd Rmadrid v Chelsea

I'd say Kuipers and Orsato/Brych for PSG v Man City
