It's quite near the beginning, about 1 minute 10 seconds in - the whole thing is quite interesting.  Andy should have been in Barcelona.

I'd agree with that. Seems as if English refs are out at the moment due to travel restrictions. Will be interesting to see what game Orsato gets if he is appointed, considering his performance in Man Utd v PSG before Christmas maybe he would be more deserving of a EL appointment rather than CL game?

Excuse my ignorance, but would the restrictions in Scotland prevent Willie Collum from getting an appointment? (I think much more likely EL than CL)

I don’t think UEFA would appoint Collum.. yes because of the Covid but also he hasn’t had much experience of VAR ( I can only recall two or three matches where he’s had big brother watching).

Portuguese officials would be inactive as well I’d guess given the Brazilian variant.

True Collum probably has been limited by his lack of VAR experience. I actually rate Collum but I think he is somewhat inconsistent, on his day excellent but I dare say of late it probably hasn't been his day often enough! He was lucky to avoid demotion at Christmas IMO and I wonder what plans UEFA have for him in the future

Wasn’t expecting Grinfeld to appear, great game for him. Velasco as an observer too.

Brych with a standard appointment with an important observer, Brych was predicted by many on here.

Excellent appointment for Grinfeld and a deserved one after a very good Group Stage. I would dare to say that he is a lock for Euro.

Vassaras observing Brych is something that you don't expect. But the Greek is head of Refereeing in Romania and spends a lot of time there.

Edy do you expect anyone else to get their KO round debut this season?

No. Vincic and Grinfeld already had theirs and Kovacs already did an EL match. Stieler is too inexperienced and was just promoted. Bastien is not considered for CL.

I forgot Soares Dias for a CL debut since I thought that he had already done it. Age I guess.  :D

I wasn't expecting Stieler so soon with a CL debut. Zwayer must be feeling the pressure for both EURO and WC 2022.
