So Cakir is out of the SF stage which is not a surprise. He could be in EL tomorrow.

Irrati on the VAR room. Not the best choice IMO.

Cakir being held back in case RM make the final, or his standing in UEFA not what it once was? Maybe a bit of both...

Expected appointment for Orsato. I guess it all hinges on if RM get through now.

I don't know what Kuipers was thinking giving a pen there. Good thing for Var is this situation

Kuipers has really been world class since the earlier error. Great spot for red card and then dealt with the whole Veratti Forden, Zinchenko incident very well

I've noticed a few are suggesting Cakir may be backup for the final. My question in response would be, is a referee allowed to officiate the final twice? As he has already reffed the 2015 final....

Looking at historical appointments, at first glance I can't spot anyone refereeing the final twice? I'm sure someone will prove me wrong though!

Real haven't a hope of going through at this rate. Lahoz looks certain for the final. His style will keep the 2 english teams in line!

Kuipers I believe did the EL final twice so while I think it is very unlikely, it is probably possible Cakir can referee this years CL final.

Concetto Lo Bello refereed the European Cup Final twice, in 1968 and 1970, but I don't think anyone has refereed that Final or the CL Final twice since then.

Chelsea v Man City it is. Congrats to both English teams
