Well that was unexpected......

And so much for your reliable “same source”, possibly even the same source which has started firm rumours in this site over the past number of years, with a success rate of about 6.3% 🤪

No one saw him being a UCL candidate. I would've put him down as prime candidate for UEL final

He did it last yr tho

I know but you never know. With the teams left hes a safe candidate. I'd say the same for orsato in ucl

I highly doubt uefa appoint the same referees two yrs running, theres enough suitable candidates for both finals, that that shouldn't be the case.

I know but I wouldn't be shocked. If u ask my personal opinion (no sources involved) I'd say if no Rmadrid involved then Lahoz,  if Rmadrid v Mancity then Turpin and then Rmadrid v Psg then Taylor.

UEL I'd say Turpin if not the UCL but if needed for the UCL then I'd say Taylor

I'd say Cakir will get 2nd Rmadrid v Chelsea

I'd say Kuipers and Orsato/Brych for PSG v Man City

I think that we may read Brych's name tomorrow.

Wouldnt be shocked. Him or Orsato. Kuipers on 2nd for a final CL outing this year in prep for Euros where he's the heavy favourite for the final

Totally expected appointment.

Siebert as FO after his Euro selection. I guess his promotion is not far away.

An expected appointment. With Makkelie getting a SF it certainly makes the final a tricky dilemma to predict with some conviction.

Personally, it’s a shootout between Mateu, Taylor and Cakir for the final depending on the way the semi finals pan out.

Kuipers and Orsato for the other semi final 2nd legs.

With Zwayer being demoted IMO.

I would put my money on Aytekin being demoted.

If Kuipers and Orsato have the SF 2nd leg then Cakir could get his 2nd final. But knowing that Rosetti admires Kuipers and considers him the best UEFA official, then Kuipers could be out of the SF stage in order to get his 2nd final now that he is retiring.

With all due respect to our English elite referee, I'm not convinced Taylor has yet reached a level to be awarded the CL Final (and the same goes for Michael Oliver).  A second final for Kuipers or Cakir seems more likely, or failing that, perhaps Lahoz if RM are not involved, or Turpin if PSG lose to City in the SF.  I would have thought Lahoz and Turpin were ahead of Taylor in the pecking order but I bow to edy's knowledge on that.

Was surprised to find Kuipers and Cakir's Finals were back in2014 / 2015. How quickly the years pass.

The only reason that Taylor is mentioned for the final apart from generally good season, is that there aren't many options left for UEFA. Lahoz is the prime candidate if RM is out (actually he should have had the final last year instead of Orsato). Turpin and Taylor are the alternatives IF UEFA doesn't want to give the final to a referee who already had it. IMO neither Turpin nor Taylor are now on CL final level but I believe that it's the last thing that matters.

IMO Kuipers will get the Euros final and cant see him being put on both, i know it has happened before with Clattenburg, and tbf he deserves it. If PSG get knocked out it will be Turpin, if Madrid get knocked out it will be Lahoz or Cakir will get his second final.

Who knows. We could get a shock from someone we haven't mentioned. I can't think of who that could be though

Funny how when the UCL comes to the pointy end Oliver goes missing, despite getting full support after his previous semi- final.
Zwayer still not recovered from his bust up with Brych as his 4th official.
As for predictions both Cakir and Kuipers have already done a UCL final I would love to see one get a second final.
