If Mr Taylor is the adventurous sort he could, and perhaps he is, as I speak, catching the train to Podgorica.
Montenegro isn't easy to get to, or across, but if he wants he could fly to Belgrade, and book a return on the Belgrade to Bar service. Train travel isn't Serbia's strongest suit, for because of the concern over the laying of the track, most travel, and for many hours, at only 20 mph! Starting a journey in Budapest, where I might add I was not welcomed in any "come hither" way by Bmb, via Subotica and Novi Sad tests your will, and if you haven't packed enough paperbacks, it's almost a day without end.
Assuming Mr Taylor overnighted in Belgrade, a day before the game he'd be hopping on the service to Bar, a coastal resort in Montenegro."Service" is probably a bit too strong a word for it, unless you like your twelve hour journey without running water, flushing toilets and minimal buffet, but what you do get are border checks leaving Serbia, entering Bosnia Herzegovina, leaving Bosnia Herzegovina and entering Montenegro, and views from up on high that are out of this World! It is a must trip, and in a non covid europe, it ought to be on anyone's bucket list. There's a chance of a low speed high altitude derailment too, to keep you paying attention!
Travel, they say, is not about the arriving, so come on Mr Taylor, enjoy the trip, and who cares about the game?
