It won't be easy for Farkas as he only cautioned player for that tackle in UYL...

Personally I think Balázs Berke is a better all round ref than Farkas. Farkas was in the UEFA core program so they obviously think he has something to offer. I find him a bit hit & miss, he doesn't have the consistency needed yet but he can be decent, if a bit lenient.

The trouble we have is like here in England no-one has had the foresight to think about what is going to happen once Kassai hits 45. He was 43 last month so has 2 years left on FIFA. I expect he will get a +1 year but we are not prepared for his replacement. It won't be Vad or Bognár, they are both 39 so will be either 41 or 42, when Kassai retires, and they will not put a 40+ year old into the elite group. Farkas is literally the only one who can replace him, he's 36 now. Our other 2 FIFA refs are Karakó (age 35) and Andó-Szabó (39).  Karakó is not progressing as hoped at the moment, Andó-Szabó was demoted a couple of seasons back, last season he didn't have a single FIFA appointment & this season he's only had 1. FIFA wise he is going nowhere fast. Karakó was given his badge too early, he was an NB2 ref, got his badge in Jan 2016 and was then promoted to the NB1 for the start of the spring season in the Feb. There was & probably still is too much pressure put on him, I'd go as far to say he is the Hungarian Stuart Attwell & it's so unfair on him. Berke is 34 and the only non FIFA NB1 ref who is good enough & young enough to get a FIFA badge. The other 5 non FIFA refs are Pintér (41 next week), Iványi (age 42), Solymosi (age 46 and in a +1 year), Erdös (age 41) and Szöts who is 36 but has now lost his professional contract. He's not the best shall we say! I expect to see Bogár Gergő given a pro contract from the start of the spring season, as Szöts replacement. He's 27 so maybe a future FIFA ref as the others retire. I've only watched him once in his NB1 debut & he had a great game. Ádám Radványi (age 35) will possibly replace Péter Solymosi, who I suspect will retire in December. He's not a potential for FIFA imo. We need to get Berke on that list asap, I think he is the one who has the potential to replace Kassai but time is running out!
