Oliver must have CL coming up then... perhaps UEFA have realised that Oliver is a much more balanced official.

I wouldn't bank on that, although I hope you are right.

I would be surprised as our main VAR team are with Anthony.  Besides, the Champions League finals are in Portugal - I am not sure any British officials will be used given the current rules in place between the UK and Portugal.

I thought elite sports were exempt from the quarantine due to the testing procedures in place? I could be wrong - the guidance of the UK government changes frequently, contradicts constantly and would make more sense if written in fluent gibberish!

Big hitters are out for the ties.... at least UEFA have been sensible by putting an observer and delegate who are British at Molineux.

Kuipers only has a one hour thirty minute drive from his location to Duisburg in Germany. . Again, sensible from UEFA.

I assume that the Delegate in Basel is there to see everything is done by the book.

Why hasn’t kuipers come off the list yet, he’s well past 45?

He's on a + year so will remain on the list until December.

He's now 47, so must have had + 2 years!

I don't seen an issue with it, if you're good enough. Atkinson did a CL semi-final when he was 46.

Will be interesting to see if the likes of Kuipers stay on the list next year, considering the delay to the Euros. I'm sure he'd have been chosen for the Euros if they'd been played this summer.

I believe the Euros is why he was given the 2nd + year in the first place. He'd certainly be the first to get a +3 year if he were to stay on the list beyond December. Lots of the normal rules being bent right now so who knows!

I see a new badge saying UEFA Match Official has appeared on the shirts instead of FIFA and the role the person does.

Which I must say looks bloody hideous! I prefer the old style FIFA badges!
