I would take the top 4 refereeing teams available (neutral where possible), giving each team a QF. Best performer gets final irrespective if they have had it before. Refs ranked 2 and 3 get Semis.
Cakir, Kuipers, Skomina plus 1 maybe Marcinack

The Italians will be there in force manning the zappers along with the Germans

I think you might be right with the champions knock out ref appointments rcg which means that possibly one of the English refs will get the knock out europa league appointments instead?

They'll probably be Weds - it's normally 48 hours before the game they get announced

Will be interesting to see if they apply to the 'once only' guidance to the CL final appointment or if they follow the FA's route and give it to someone twice.

I think you may see a previous recipient get it, for all the reasons David Elleray gave for our cup final. Cakir?

Lots of elite referees have been used in the Europa League this midweek - I'd expect at least some of them to do CL games.

The games aren't specifically in Germany/Portugal until next week's QFs anyway.

Brych and Artur Dias would be certain locks for a game.

Important observer for Zwayer. He certainly is a better official than the erratic Aytekin.

Dr Brych and Man City have not been a happy combination in recent games where he's been in the middle.
