Anthony Taylor - Newcastle v Sunderland

He could be in for a long afternoon if the opening few minutes are anything to go by. His experience will be much needed

Thats a world class offside decision by Beswick to disallow Newcastle 2nd goal.

A real shame to hear of a reported case of racial abuse that sounded like it was well dealt with by Taylor while listening on the radio.

That, my friends, is the best officiating display of the season for me. Tetchy at the start, but Taylor set his stalls with a big presence in the first 10 (including the benches). After that, did what he needed to do and carded where necessary.

What a second half from my team…definitely not the outcome I was expecting after the calamitous defending for the opening goal!

2 Tyne-Wear derbies this season have id argue have given the 2 best performances of the season from Bankes and Taylor. 2 incredibly tough games to manage, both done so superbly.

Sums up Taylor nicely! Great performance after great performance. Hopefully he gets some big appointments this summer in America.

If England don't reach the final then Anthony Taylor should get it.

I remember seeing Anthony Taylor's first match at the Stadium of Light which was the opening match of the 2010-11 season and the reason I recall that particular afternoon was because he had an absolute shocker. Yesterday was the total opposite and I thought he gave an excellent performance and as derbies go it was played in a pretty decent spirit which was really helped by his handling of the game.
If Black and White is so brilliant why do most of us have colour tellies
