On a side note both Natalie Aspinall and Sian Massey Ellis seem to be operating in the Championship this season var appointments aside
Personally find it a tad surprising give the recent announcements regarding the push for diversity from the powers that be, that two of the most capable female officials seem to be operating at a lower level. Any thoughts ?

Barrott has had a great game hasn’t fallen for any theatrics, two cautions spot on. Blended into the background and let the game flow. Definitely at home in SG1.

Agreed! Having seen a clip from Bond’s angle was always going to be a red card even with minimal contact. Glad to see he gave himself thinking time but ultimately correct decision for me.

During the game on commentary Gary Neville appeared to suggest a discussion with Stockley Park around the yellow card awarded to Garnacho around mistaken identity. This surely cant be correct why would VAR be getting involved with yellow cards?

Unfortunately it seems the Roma fans followed the lead of their manager, which lead to some shocking scenes for Anthony and his family at Budapest airport including what looks like a table being thrown in his direction. Disgusting scenes and behaviour.

Haven’t seen the incidents that have occurred but it’s very refreshing to hear a referee take the appropriate action against players/management who act in a very unpleasant fashion.
The players and management have let their club down with a shocking display of misbehaviour and Chris Kavanagh has set the perfect example to ALL referees on how to deal with misbehaviour.
Now this has to apply across the board, at all levels and officials backed by the FA when they act. Or am I living in a utopian world?
These type of incidents happen week in week out in grassroots football, I hope for the sake of all grassroots referee's the FA take the appropriate action and send a message to football at all levels that this type of behavior will no longer be tolerated. But as a earlier poster said don't hold your breath.....
